Eligibility Criteria
- All orphans between the ages of 0 and 18 residing in Gujarat whose parents are not alive, or near relatives taking care of destitute orphans whose mother has remarried due to the death of the father.
Standard of assistance
- A monthly allowance of Rs.3000/- to next of kin taking care of children is paid from DBT.
Document to be submitted
- Any one of Child’s Birth Certificate / School Leaving Certificate
- An attested copy of the death certificate of the child’s parents will have to be submitted.
- In case the father of the child is dead and the mother has remarried, affidavit of remarriage of the mother / certificate of marriage registration / instance of Talati Cum Minister, any one of them.
- Proof of remarriage
- Copy of income proof (income more than 27,000 for rural area and more than 36,000 for urban area)
- Attested copy of joint bank account of child and foster parents
- Copy of child’s Aadhaar card
- Attested copy of ration card of foster parents
- A copy of the certificate of the standard in which the child is currently studying
- Any one of the copy of Aadhaar card of foster father/mother
