According to the announcement of the Meteorological Department, monsoon will set in Kerala from June 31, while monsoon will begin in Gujarat from June 19. He said that there is a possibility of monsoon rains in Gujarat from June 19. From today Monsoon activity has started over Andaman Nicobar Island.

Ambalal Patel has said that there is a possibility of heavy cyclone in West Bengal on May 26. It will have a heavy impact on the south eastern coasts. Heavy rain is likely in West Bengal, where wind will blow at a speed of 100-120 kmph. Cyclone impact will occur in Arabian Sea in late May to early June. There is a possibility of power outages due to cyclones in the Arabian Sea after June 8. Ambalal Patel has predicted rain movement with thunderstorm. If the cyclone does not break towards Oman but stays in the middle of the ocean, heavy rain is likely in South Saurashtra, parts of the Western Ghats.
According to the Meteorological Department, Monsoon has reached Andaman-Nicobar. Will reach Kerala by 31st May. Cyclone will hit Gujarat in late May or early June. A cyclone will form in the Bay of Bengal next week. Odisha, Maharashtra and Gujarat will be affected by the storm. Last year too, monsoon arrived in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 19 May, but in Kerala it arrived 9 days late on 8 June.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the monsoon may arrive in Kerala even before the normal date this year. However, the usual date of monsoon arrival in Kerala is 1 June. There is a possibility of 4 days more or less in the announced date which means monsoon can set in anytime between 28th May to 3rd June. Monsoon is likely to reach Madhya Pradesh from June 16 to 21 and Rajasthan from June 25 to July 6. While in UP it will reach from 18 to 25 June and in Bihar-Jharkhand by 18 June.
Ahead of the arrival of the monsoon, another storm is looming. After five days, there is a possibility of a cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal. Which is likely to partially affect Gujarat as well. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure will develop in South West Bay of Bengal around May 22 and it is likely to turn into a depression over central Bay of Bengal around May 24. If this cyclone becomes powerful and moves north-west, Gujarat and Maharashtra are expected to experience heavy rains around May 27.
