The biggest change in this update is regarding the Bangladesh team. Bangladesh were officially eliminated from the tournament on January 24 , after the Bangladesh Cricket Board refused to play the match in India due to security reasons. With no change in the schedule despite a review of the situation by the ICC, Scotland have now been given the opportunity to replace Bangladesh .
Scotland will now play England, West Indies, Nepal and Italy in Group C. All other groups and tournament structures remain unchanged. Three matches are scheduled to be played each day during the group stage, while reserve days have also been kept for the semi-finals and final.
Special arrangements have been made for the Pakistan team. Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka , including the high-voltage India-Pakistan clash. If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals or final, those matches will also be held in Sri Lanka. If Pakistan does not reach the final, the final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad .
