The review said that more than 243 km of bridge construction work has been completed under the project. 352 km of pier work and 362 km of pier foundation work has been completed. Track construction is going on in full swing in Gujarat. RC track bed work is being done in Anand, Vadodara, Surat and Navsari. About 71 km of RC track work has been completed.

Work on the project was initially targeted to be completed by 2023, however, construction work was delayed due to land acquisition issues and Corona. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) is in charge of this project. The estimated cost of the bullet train project is around Rs 1.08 lakh crore. Let us tell you that the maximum speed of the bullet train in India will be 350 kmph. This train will cover the distance of 508 km from Mumbai to Ahmedabad in less than 3 hours. Mumbai will have Bandra-Kurla Complex, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati stations.
Bridges are being built over 13 rivers and several state highways for the Mumbai to Ahmedabad bullet train. In this, many railway lines will be crossed by 7 steel and prestressed concrete bridges.
