This scheme has been launched to cover the cost of various nutritious food required at the time of delivery, medical hospital expenses of women construction laborers or wife of male laborers in the state of Gujarat.
Rules of Shramyogi Prasuti Sahai Yojana
- The benefits of this scheme are available to the construction workers registered with the Labor and other Construction Labor Welfare Board belonging to the construction sector of Gujarat state.
- In the rules related to Shramyogi Susuti Sahay Yojana, the monetary assistance received under this scheme is deposited in the applicant’s bank account through DBT in that bank account.
- Even if a woman has suffered a miscarriage, assistance will be available through this scheme.
- In the event of stillbirth and stillbirth, primary health center doctor’s certificate has to be produced (Note: This benefit is eligible only if the applicant or construction worker’s wife has given birth before 26 weeks or 26th week after conception.)
- The time to apply for the assistance of this scheme is to be done within six months from the date of conception.
- Pre-maternity financial assistance for Rs 17,500 in case of women construction workers registered with Shramyogi Kalyan Board has to be paid within six months after conception.

Benefit to be received
- In case of wife of construction worker registered with Shramyogi Kalyan Board will be eligible to get benefit of Rs.6000.
- If a woman registered with the Shramyogi Kalyan Board is a worker herself, she is entitled to receive assistance of Rs 17,500 during pregnancy and Rs 20,000 after delivery for the first two deliveries.
- Thus the total assistance available under the scheme will be Rs 37,500.
