Pulses Distribution Scheme: Under the Pulses Distribution Scheme (Channa), 1 kg of chickpea is provided to the NFSA ration cardholders of the state every month at a fixed rate of Rs. 30 per kg only with the aim of making protein rich and nutritious food available. This scheme provides material assistance as assistance/incentive under the Public Distribution System. The benefit of this scheme is not available to the priority families of APL and BPL categories. This scheme is implemented by the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department of the State Government and is significant for the civil supplies sector.
Pulses Distribution Scheme
Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, wheat, rice, millet and jowar will be distributed free of cost in the month of August-2024, 1 kg of sugar will be distributed to BPL, Antyodaya families. In addition to the available quantity, 1 kg of sugar will be distributed. Along with this, 1 kg of sugar per card will be given to BPL families at a concessional rate of Rs. 22. Antyodaya families will be given 1 kg of sugar per card at a price of Rs. 15. Wheat, rice, millet, jowar will be distributed free of cost.
Distribution will be done during the festivals.
5 kg of wheat, 15 kg of rice are being distributed free of cost, 5 kg of millet will be distributed free of cost, a total of 35 kg of food grains will be distributed free of cost. The government led by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel has taken an important decision to distribute additional sugar and edible oil to the Antyodaya and BPL families of the state at subsidized rates so that these families can celebrate the festivals of Janmashtami well, said Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya.
