IMD Gujarat Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a news bulletin dated 26-10-2025 at 14:00 hrs, according to which a warning of heavy rain and squalls has been issued for Gujarat. As a depression is active in the Arabian Sea, there will be rainy conditions in many districts of Gujarat for the next 7 days.

Depression active in Arabian Sea
IMD Gujarat Rain Alert- A depression is currently active in the east-central Arabian Sea, which is located in the area of 16.0°N and 66.5°E and is moving west-southwest at a speed of 13 km/hr. Due to the impact of this depression, there is a possibility of heavy rain and gusty winds in the entire coastal area of Gujarat.

IMD Gujarat Rain Alert- The Meteorological Department has released a detailed forecast regarding rainfall and temperature for the next week. The maximum temperature will decrease by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next 2 days . The minimum temperature is also likely to decrease after the next 3 days.
DAY-1 (26 October 2025 to 27 October 2025 8.30 AM)
According to IMD , Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall is likely in the following districts of South Gujarat today :
Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad , as well as Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli . In the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch – Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad and Diu, there is also a warning of heavy rain. Apart from that, there is a possibility of thunderstorm with wind speed of 30–40 kmph in many districts including Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Mahisagar, Dahod, Patan, Aravalli, Narmada, Tapi, Dang .

The area of rain will become more extensive during day-2. Heavy to very heavy rain is predicted in Amreli, Gir Somnath and Diu . While Heavy Rainfall Alert has been given in districts including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Banaskantha, Patel, Aravalli, Surat, Navsari, Valsad . There is also a possibility of rain showers with lightning in Rajkot, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Kutch of Saurashtra-Kutch .
DAY-3 (28 October 2025 to 29 October 2025 8.30 AM)
Rain will continue in areas including Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman in South Gujarat on the third day . Heavy rain is predicted in Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Dwarka and Diu
in Saurashtra . Light to moderate thundershowers are likely in North and Central Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Anand) .
DAY-4 (29 October 2025 to 30 October 2025 8.30 AM)
On Day-4, there is a Heavy Rain Alert in areas including Surat, Valsad, Navsari, Bharuch in South Gujarat . The possibility of rain will continue in areas of Junagadh, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Dwarka, Bhavnagar, Porbandar in Saurashtra . Cloudy weather with lightning and possibility of wind up to 30–40 km/h will still remain.
DAY-5 (30th October 2025 to 31st October 2025 8.30 AM)
Day-5 The effect of rain may be more visible in Saurashtra-Kutch region. Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Dwarka, Gir Somnath and Diu may receive heavy rain. All other districts will have cloudy weather with light rain and lightning.
