Gujarat Ambalal Patel Issues Major Weather Forecast

Ambalal Patel Weather Forecast: Renowned weather forecaster Ambalal Patel has predicted significant weather changes across Gujarat over the next 48 hours. According to his forecast, several parts of the state may experience unseasonal rainfall along with a sharp increase in cold conditions. North Gujarat and Central Gujarat are expected to witness major weather fluctuations.

Gujarat Weather Update – January 1, 2026

As the year 2025 came to an end, Gujarat experienced a sudden change in weather. Due to a strong western disturbance active over North India, unseasonal rainfall has begun in parts of Saurashtra and North Gujarat. Early morning drizzles were reported in rural areas of Porbandar and Dwarka, raising concerns among farmers about potential damage to winter crops.

Rainfall Reported in Saurashtra Coastal Areas

Since early morning, cloudy weather has persisted in coastal regions of Saurashtra. Light rainfall has been recorded in Porbandar city, nearby villages, Dwarka, and the Kalyanpur region. While the rain has increased the cold, it has also caused anxiety among farmers due to the risk posed to standing crops.

IMD Forecast: Fog, Rain, and Severe Cold Ahead

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light rainfall is likely in Kutch and Porbandar districts. Isolated showers may also occur in Banaskantha and Patan. Light rain is expected in Jamnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, and Kutch as well.

Ahmedabad witnessed dense fog in the early morning hours, accompanied by a rise in pollution levels. The IMD has warned that a severe cold wave is expected to begin from January 11, with intense cold conditions likely to persist until January 18.

Farmers at Risk Due to Unstable Climate

Gujarat’s weather has become increasingly unpredictable, with sudden shifts between cold, heat, and rainfall. This changing climate pattern has severely impacted farmers, who are the most vulnerable to unseasonal rain. If heavy rainfall occurs, it could lead to substantial agricultural losses. Dense fog may also disrupt road traffic and transportation services.

Uttarayan 2026 Weather Outlook

Uttarayan, Gujarat’s most beloved festival, is eagerly awaited by people of all ages. However, weather conditions this year may affect kite-flying enthusiasts. Ambalal Patel has predicted low wind speed during the morning hours of Uttarayan, which could reduce kite-flying enjoyment. Wind speed is expected to increase by afternoon.

While current cold conditions remain moderate, Gujaratis are advised to prepare for extremely harsh cold spells throughout January 2026.
