According to him, a new weather system is becoming active over the Bay of Bengal, which may bring heavy rains to Gujarat in the coming days.

  • September 17 – 23, 2025: IMD has forecast moderate rainfall across several districts.
  • September 18: Yellow alert issued for Aravalli, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Surat, and Tapi districts.
  • September 19: Yellow alert for almost all districts except Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, and Sabarkantha.
  • September 20: Yellow alert in Morbi, Jamnagar, Surendranagar, Kheda, Panchmahal, Ahmedabad, Dwarka, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Bharuch, Vadodara, Valsad, Tapi, and Surat.
  • September 22: Chances of thunderstorms with rain in many parts of Gujarat.
  • September 27 – October 5: During Navratri festival, heavy rainfall expected in South Gujarat and other regions due to Arabian Sea activity.
  • October 7: Another spell of rainfall likely due to an active system over the Arabian Sea.
  • November 2025: Bay of Bengal may trigger a severe cyclone, which could again impact Gujarat’s weather.

Monsoon Withdrawal & Rain Showers

Although the monsoon withdrawal process has already started from Kutch and South-West Gujarat, active systems may still cause scattered showers in some districts. The complete withdrawal across Gujarat may take about a week.
