Ambalal Patel said that light to moderate rain showers are likely to occur in parts of South Gujarat and South Saurashtra on October 9-10 and 12 during Navratri. So on October 12-13 a system is likely to form over parts of South India, Mumbai and South Gujarat. West India will have cloudy weather from October 14-16.

However, the cyclone may stay away from Gujarat and move towards Pakistan through parts of Kutch or stay away from Gujarat.

He further said that due to the Bay of Bengal system, there may be rain in the southern parts of the country. From October 16 to 22, heavy gusts may occur in central and eastern parts of Gujarat.
