Weather expert Ambalal Patel’s forecast says that the rains have stopped in the state at the moment. A caterpillar called Katra has fallen and it is said that there will be no rain for its entire life. Due to the current winds from Africa, the remnants of the storm will come to the Bay of Bengal from July 23. Due to the monsoon, the possibility of a storm is low, due to which there is a possibility of rain in the coastal areas. This system will gradually pass through Chhattisgarh and come to some parts of East Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Due to which there will be a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of Panchmahal, Sabarkantha, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad. There is a possibility of heavy rain around July 28 and if the circumstances are right, there may also be very heavy rain.

There is no rain at present, but flood-like rain will come
Ambalal Patel said that in the fourth week of July and the first week of August, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain due to the system forming in the Bay of Bengal. In which flood-like conditions may also occur in some parts of the state.

Flood forecast in these districts
Rain is forecast in South Gujarat, South Saurashtra, and other parts of Saurashtra as well as parts of East Gujarat. Parts of Mahisagar, parts of Central Gujarat, parts of Sabarkantha, parts of Kutch, some areas of North Gujarat may receive rain. Flood-like conditions may occur in some parts.

Paresh Goswami’s forecast
Meteorologist Paresh Goswami says that a rain system is currently active in the form of a depression over North India. Its sea zone is likely to extend to Gujarat. Due to which normal to moderate and isolated heavy showers are predicted in these areas of the state during July 19, 20 and 21.

Where and how much rain fell in Gujarat
Gujarat received 51.37 percent of the season’s rainfall. The highest rainfall was recorded in the Kutch zone at 58.46 percent. South Gujarat received 55.29%, Saurashtra 49.38%, Central Gujarat 49.50%, and North Gujarat 49%. The state’s 206 reservoirs have 59.55 percent water storage. The Sardar Sarovar Dam has 54.90 percent water storage. 26 dams in the state are 100 percent full of water. 41 reservoirs are on high alert, 22 reservoirs are on alert.
