Abbott India Rallies After Mega Dividend Declaration: Shares of Abbott India rallied as much as 3.84% to ₹31,538.65 apiece on the BSE on Friday, May 16, following the company’s Q4 results announcement and a bumper final dividend declaration.
On Thursday, Abbott India Limited, the pharmaceutical firm headquartered in Mumbai, and a subsidiary of Abbott Laboratories, said its net profit increased by 28% to ₹367 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25), aided by higher sales.
The drug firm had reported a net profit of ₹287 crore in the January-March period of the last fiscal.
Revenue from operations rose to ₹1,605 crore in the March quarter against ₹1,439 crore seen in the year-ago period, Abbott India Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, the company reported a net profit of ₹1,414 crore as compared with ₹1,201 crore logged in FY24.
Revenue increased to ₹6,409 crore last fiscal from ₹5,849 crore logged in 2023-24 fiscal.
Final Dividend Update
In its filing to stock exchanges, Abbott India said its board has recommended payment of final dividend of ₹475 per equity share of ₹10 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, subject to approval of the shareholders at the ensuing 81st annual general meeting of the company scheduled to be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Dividend Record Date
The company said that the announced dividend, if approved by the shareholders, will be paid on or after Monday, August 18, 2025.
