Ambalal Patel Predicts Heavy Rain in September: Renowned weather expert Ambalal Patel has once again issued a fresh forecast regarding Gujarat’s weather. According to him, the monsoon conditions will intensify in the coming days, and many districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Ambalal Patel Predicts Heavy Rain in September

As per his forecast, on 30th and 31st August, several regions of North Gujarat, Central Gujarat, South Gujarat, and Saurashtra are likely to witness rainfall. However, this spell of rain may not be beneficial for agriculture, as its intensity could damage standing crops.

Looking ahead, Patel has also warned about the period between 3rd to 10th September, when multiple districts of Gujarat may experience very heavy to torrential rains. During this time, some areas may even record continuous downpours, creating challenging situations.

Impact on Agriculture and Rural Areas

Patel highlighted that districts in South Gujarat such as Bharuch, Navsari, Valsad, and Surat may face severe rainstorms. Similarly, Mahisagar and Vadodara regions could also receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
This may negatively affect farmers, as crops may suffer losses, while rural and urban areas might experience waterlogging and flooding.

Saurashtra and North Gujarat on High Alert

Saurashtra is expected to receive 4 inches or more rainfall, especially in Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, and Kutch districts. Such heavy rains can severely impact both agriculture and daily life.
In North Gujarat, places like Ambaji, Danta, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, and Aravalli are likely to experience intense rains. Starting from early September, the rainfall situation in Gujarat could turn alarming, with continuous heavy showers till 10th September.

Warning and Precautions

Ambalal Patel has urged farmers to stay cautious, as the rain on 30th and 31st August could harm standing crops, especially during the sowing stage. He also appealed to the general public and authorities to remain alert, as flood-like situations, transport disruption, and urban waterlogging may arise in several areas.
Residents of low-lying regions are advised to take extra precautions during this period.
