Three Active Systems Behind Gujarat’s Rain Surge
The current heavy rain situation is attributed to three active systems:

- Cyclonic circulation in the upper air
- A low-pressure zone from the northeast Arabian Sea to parts of the Bay of Bengal
These systems are impacting weather patterns in South Gujarat, North Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rainfall is likely to persist until July 29, with chances of localized flooding in low-lying areas.

The IMD has sounded an orange alert for many districts in Gujarat for July 27 and 28, indicating the likelihood of very heavy rain, waterlogging, and potential disruptions in transportation and local infrastructure.
