- Aadhaar eKYC is compulsory for new SIM card activation.
- A maximum of 9 mobile connections per Aadhaar is allowed (for normal users).
- For businesses or IoT services, a higher number can be granted with permission.
- Bulk buying of SIMs is monitored and restricted.
If you’ve ever given your Aadhaar at a mobile store or retailer, someone could have misused it to activate extra SIMs under your name.

You can easily see all SIMs linked to your Aadhaar and report unknown ones.
- Visit: https://www.sancharsaathi.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on “Citizen Centric Services”
- Select “Know Your Mobile Connections (TAFCOP)”
- Enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Solve the captcha and click on “Request OTP”
- Enter the OTP you received and login
- You will see a list of all the mobile numbers registered using your Aadhaar
