The Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana 2025 is a flagship housing scheme by the Gujarat government aimed at providing financial assistance to socially and educationally backward classes, economically backward classes and nomadic communities to help them build or purchase permanent homes.
Launched under the Gujarat government’s Social Justice and Empowerment Department, the Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana seeks to address housing challenges for marginalized communities in both rural and urban areas. The scheme provides financial aid of up to ₹1,20,000, disbursed in three installments.

The Affordable Housing Scheme in India, including initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana, provides critical support for low-income and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families through housing subsidies for the poor, low-income housing grants in 2025, and government home loan schemes.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a native of the state of Gujarat.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should be more than Rs. 6,00,000/- for both rural and urban areas.
- The applicant or his/her family members should not have received such assistance through this account or any other account of the State of Gujarat in the previous years.
- The benefit of this scheme is available only once to one person from a family.
- In the Online application, the applicant will have to provide his/her own mobile number or that of a family member and keep the mobile number switched on. If the Number of another person is provided or more than one application is received from the same number, such applications will be considered rejected.
The Standard of Assistance
- Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Economically Backward Classes, Homeless Beneficiaries of Nomadic Emancipated Caste Rs. 1,20,000 / – will be provided.
- The period for completion of building construction is 2 years.
Required Document for Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana 2025
- Certificate of caste / sub-caste of the applicant (Applicant of economically backward class does not need to attach caste certificate), Leaving Certificate of the applicant (if educated)
- Certificate of Income
- Proof of residence of the applicant (any one of Aadhar Card / Electricity Bill / License / Lease Agreement / Election Card / Ration Card)
- Certified copy of allotment letter of allotment order if land / ready house has been received under any poverty housing scheme.
- Land Ownership Base / Document / Size Form / Form of Rights / Charter (as applicable)
- Certificate to be given to the applicant by the Talati Mantri / City Talati Mantri / Circle Inspector of the Gram Panchayat for sanctioning housing assistance
- Building construction permit
- Certificate of BPL
- Certificate of husband’s death (if a widow)
- Copy of the map showing the area of the land on which the building is to be constructed, signed by Talati Mantrishree.
