How much money will the government pay for the trip?
Pilgrimage has a special importance in the culture of India. Every citizen desires to visit the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram at Ayodhya during his lifetime. But considering the financial constraints, such a desire of some people is not fulfilled. Keeping this in mind, the Gujarat Government has decided to provide a very good opportunity for all citizens to visit Lord Shri Ram at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya, and the state government has decided to provide an incentive financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 in railway fare.
Who can benefit from this scheme?
Citizens of all categories, aged 12 years or above, residing in the state of Gujarat, can avail the benefit of this scheme once in their lifetime.
List of documents to be attached with the application
To avail the benefits of this scheme, pilgrims will have to attach all the following self-attested documents as evidence in the registration application.
- Aadhaar card
- Caste certificate or
- School leaving certificate.
- Bank account passbook
Only the persons whose names are mentioned in the application will be required to travel.
This is required to approve the application.
After completing the journey, the proof of the return railway ticket, proof of accommodation during the journey, receipt of donations if any, and two to three color photographs of the temple at Ayodhya temple will have to be submitted as proof. The proof will have to be submitted to the office of Gujarat Holy Pilgrimage Development Board, Gandhinagar within one month of completing the journey . If the application is not complete with complete details, it will be rejected. The decision of Gujarat Holy Pilgrimage Development Board in this regard will be considered final.
The travel must be done only during the period mentioned in the registration application. Otherwise, the permission will be automatically cancelled. And if you want to travel after that, you will have to apply afresh.
