50,963 Booth Level Officers are working across the state for mapping of 5.08 crore voters. Commendable work of BLOs in the special intensive campaign for revision ofmapping of more than 2.17 crore citizens has been completed so far, while 3.90 crore enumeration forms have been distributed.
Purpose of intensive improvement
The main objective of the electoral roll revision is to “ ensure that no eligible voter is left out, and no ineligible voter is included. ” The counting phase of this campaign will continue till December 4, 2025 .
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) office, under the leadership of Chief Electoral Officer Harit Shukla, is continuously monitoring the work of District Election Officers, Deputy District Officers and Voter Registration Officers across the state .
The important role of BLOs
Booth level officers are considered to be the cornerstone of the voter list process . They distribute enumeration forms, help voters link their names or those of their family members, explain the registration process to new voters, and visit each household in their allotted area thrice . Due to their hard work, the mapping and updating of voter lists across the state is progressing successfully.

Voter mapping is being done through mobile applications and online databases in addition to face-to-face visits . These digital tools make BLOs more efficient and increase the accuracy of information.
