” Apart from the Haj note, two rare Rs 10 notes were also sold during the auction. One of these notes sold for Rs 6.90 lakh and is dated May 25, 1918. It has historical importance as it is associated with the British ship SS Shirala during the First World War. Another Rs 10 note sold for Rs 5.80 lakh is linked to the wreck of a ship that was attacked by a German U-boat during the same war.
